Nathiagali is one of the most beautiful of the hill resorts in the Galyat area of Pakistan. It is just two and a half hours drive north of Islamabad gradually climbing higher and higher and with spectacular views along the way. The Galyat area has been a favorite summer get away region since the early days of the British. There are many old government and company rest houses as well as family hotels and cottages. There are numerous short walks and longer hikes and treks if you enjoy walking. Horses are easily available for trail rides.

The pine forests, flowers, birds and monkeys are all a treat and as in any mountainous area the weather can be very changeable. We even had a hail storm one afternoon (in June) and it was chilly enough to want warm clothing in the night and early morning.
